  • Bio

Hello, I'm Kyle. I'm originally from Manchester but I live in Norwich now. Lots of people have been in Winter Berries over the past couple of years, but at the moment its just me and Kayleigh. I used to be in a band called Cookie Cutterr that was shambolic and noisy. Winter Berries is like the slightly more grown up version of Cookie Cutterr. I like songs that have strong melodies and honest, sincere lyrics. I hope my songs are a bit like that. The words to "Leaches and Peaches" were written by Kayleigh. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
  • Members

Currently: Kyle on guitar and singing, Kayleigh on xylophone and singing. Much gratitude and eternal love to past players, John (melodica, guitar, vox), Andrew (uke), Stephen (guitar, vox) and Graham (drums, bass, keyboards)
  • Influences

Beat Happening, Ghost Mice, Magnetic Fields, Velvet Underground, Pavement, Pastels, Violent Femmes, Vaselines, Moldy Peaches, Half Japanese, Daniel Johnston, Sebadoh, Defiance Ohio, American Anymen, Huggabroomstik
  • Sounds Like

"Kinda like a mixture of the Velvet Underground and Half Japanese, with some twee-pop thrown in for good measure" - Martians for Peace. Or "Short, sweet lo-fi folk" - Natalie Shrieking Violet. Or "a friendly version of the Pixies" - Dominic Berry

It was fun, thanks! Only did four songs - kept it short and sweet, but I enjoyed playing the violin and it seemed to go down really well.

    How are you? xxx
