    here to describe us is the ramblings of a mons -....The first band on, The Valves, are fantastic. Admittedly I do have a lot of time for female fronted bands. I don’t quite know why but I just rather a female vocal on guitar music most of the time. I kinda knew that this was my preference but at the end of last year I was trying to compile my favourite independent bands of the past year and found that the top 5 were all female fronted bands, infact the complete list was dominated by female fronted bands. Though saying that, when a female vocalist gets it wrong and sounds bad, geez do they sound bad? The Vocals of The Valves are great and I find myself listening closely to the words. I suppose it would have been hard for me not to like this band, good, well written lyrics and a great voice will always reel me in. The fact that the music and musician ship of the band behind the singer are actually tight and well thought of is only a bonus in my view. .... ...... ..
