Since being chosen as the UK's most inspired unsigned act by Radio 1 listeners & Rob Da Bank, Chancers have enjoyed some fantastic and inspirational support slots including; Jools Holland, Roy (THE VIBE) Ayers, The Peas, New Master Sounds, Scratch Perverts, Soul 2 Soul and The Cuban Brothers not to mention regular slots at the Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival. Now performing headline shows - featuring members of Mercury nominated the Bees’ horn section and regular guest slots from D.J Mewtant and Born ina Barn M.C’s - their live shows never fail to impress. Hailing from the creative hotbed that is the Isle of Wight, Chancers were brought together through a shared vision of keeping it real, laying it down and tearing it up. Blending Sixties Pop, Soul, Funk, R&B, Reggae and Hip Hop, to create their own musical flavour, Chancers have helped to pioneer a new and exciting Isle of Wight scene. With some encouraging sessions recorded with Paul Butler (Devendra Banhart, The Bees, Motion Pictures) and Andy Gray (Tori Amos, Gary Numan, Korn, U2) under their belt, they are already enjoying transmission on local & foreign frequencies with a self-penned and recorded live album as well as embarking on new sessions for a debut studio long player.
