The project MOVEONOUT, initially under the name of rml, began in the summer of 2007 and it took shape through a unique exchange of ideas, melted in an acoustic mix, that after a year instinctively turned electric. In 2008 RML summarizes their work in an entirely self-produced EP entitled Eramale. “...a mix of guitar, drums, bass and hypnotic voices that come across as a captivating and charming ep...” (Audiodrome, review). “...caresses given by a maternal and soothing hand.Carnal emotions beated by dilated and restless rhythms (Federico Pavone), powered by the bass(Alessandro Falà), unique guitar parts, transformed by a massive doses of effects (Savino), above which stands the voice of Marianna D'Amario, bewitching. Filtered and distorted melodies and rifined harmonies..." (Perkele, review). The next period was characterized again by a renewal of style, where the band focuses on the deepening experimentation of new ideas, totally absorbed by the progressive generation of new songs that no longer belong to what was RML but they take part of a new project, well-defined and more mature: Moveonout. Moveonout recorded their first album, HERE, during 2011, which is a result of both on stage and recording studio sessions. The release is scheduled for March 2012 by Self Records.

Il progetto Moveonout, inizialmente sotto il nome di rml, nasce nell’estate 2007 e comincia a prendere forma attraverso un particolare scambio di idee, miscelate in chiave acustica, che a distanza di un anno muta istintivamente in una versione elettrica. Nel 2008 rml riassume il proprio lavoro in un EP interamente autoprodotto intitolato Eramale. “carezze elargite da una mano grande e morbida. Emotività carnale scandita da ritmi dilatati e inquieti (Federico Pavone), gonfiezza di bassi di (Alessandro Falà), veri e propri tappeti chitarristici , tramite l'ausilio di massicce dosi di effetti (Savino), al di sopra di ciò si staglia la voce di Marianna D'Amario, ammaliante. Melodie filtrate e distorte e armonie ricercate...” (Perkele). “...un mix di chitarra, batteria, basso e voce ipnotica che si presenta come un demo accattivante,intrigante...” (Audiodrome). Il periodo successivo è caratterizzato ancora una volta da un rinnovamento di stile, nel quale la band si concentra sulla ricerca e l’approfondimento di nuove idee, totalmente assorbite dalla progressiva generazione delle nuove canzoni che ormai appartengono non più a ciò che è stato rml ma ad un nuovo progetto, ben definito e più maturo: Moveonout. Moveonout conclude il primo album, HERE nell' Ottobre 2011, risultato della costante attività live e in studio nel corso degli ultimi anni. L’ uscita è prevista a Marzo 2012 per Self Records.

Sentireascoltare (ITA)

Le nove tracce contenute in Here sono il risultato di un lungo processo di trasformazione che ha portato gli italiani Moveonout – progetto derivato dai precedenti RML – dalle trame in chiave acustica di qualche anno fa alle strutture elettriche che ne caratterizzano l’attuale stile. Attitudine che si concentra nell’ambito del pop suonato con decisione, privo di abbellimenti di facciata e aggressivo, sempre in equilibrio tra melodie cantabili e andamenti prossimi a quella sfera solitamente classificata come art rock. Al centro dello spettro espressivo dei Moveonout c’è la voce di Marianna, capace di ingentilire le movenze sornione di brani come Bubbles and Candles o quelle più movimentate dell’inizale Drury Lane. In questo lavoro ci sono le basi sulle quali poter costruire qualcosa di più ambizioso, anche se non mancano passaggi a vuoto che denunciano la poca originalità di alcune soluzioni. Il riferimento è a brani come Stay Behind o Mayo, dove si avverte netta la voglia di rendere le atmosfere “esportabili”, pronte nell’allinearsi alle sonorità d’oltremanica, perdendo quindi un filo del discorso che, in linea di massima, sembrerebbe invece credibile. Peccato, perché nei momenti migliori di Here – leggi Clockwise, ma anche la soave Earl Grey – affiora la capacità dei Moveonout di saper costruire parentesi musicali di ottima qualità. (6.3/10)

I Moveonout sono in circolazione da cinque anni e solo alla fine del 2011 si sono decisi di registrare e poi pubblicare, a marzo 2012, il loro esordio fatto di noise e trip-hop. Grazie alla voce di Marianna D’Amario si crea il perfetto trait d’union delle due anime di questo gruppo, progetto sospeso tra staffilate noise, soprattutto per il basso che quando pulsa, scalfisce anche le rocce più dure; ed un trip-hop bristoliano particolarmente ipnotico ed ammaliante. Le ritmiche di “Here” denotano la polarizzazione di questi nove brani, tra movimenti sincopati (“Drury lane”) e schegge convulse (“Clockwise”) da un lato e momenti eterei (“Earl grey”, “White muted pearls”). La conclusiva “Time” è la sintesi degli otto brani precedenti, suoni con momenti ben scandagliati che riescono a coniugare bene il noise con il trip hop.

In 2008 start de Italiaanse groep RML met het maken van een pakkende en charmante mix van gitaren, bas, drums en hypnotiserende vocalen om daar fijne rockmuziek mee te maken. De resultaten ervan zijn gebundeld op de ep Eramale uit datzelfde jaar. Hierna voegt de band meer elektronica aan het geluid toe en wordt het tijd voor de volgende grote stap met een logische nieuwe groepsnaam Moveonout als gevolg. Het viertal bestaat uit de heren Federico Pavone (drums, percussie), Savino (gitaar, bas, effecten) en Giacomo (bas, gitaar, effecten) plus zangeres Marianna D’Amario. Samen hebben ze hun debuut Here nu voltooid. Met “Drury Lane” gaan ze meteen voortvarend uit de startblokken met tegen de metal aanleunende poprock en noise. Als je de felle zang hoort van Marianne ben ik gelijk verkocht. Zij doet hier ook wel denken aan Julie Christmas en de band aan haar groep Made Out Of Babies. Een nummer verder brengen ze meer complexe ritmes aan in hun gitaarmuziek en komen ze met de elektronica erbij wel in de buurt van een harde Garbage. Met de elektronica brengen ze vooral een melancholische sfeer en diepte aan, wat de muziek echt wel heel anders dan hun voorgaande project maakt. De muziek kent verder ook de epische stukken van Skunk Anansie, de complexiteit van Zu, de nu-core van de Deftones, het smerig surreële van de Pain Teens, af en toe het wereldse van The Tea Party en op de achtergrond ook de galm van Siouxsie & The Banshees. In een ballad als “Earl Grey” gaan ze met name door de prachtige zang haast weer richting Lou Rhodes. De stem van Marianna is een heel sterk en afwisselend wapen van deze band, maar ook de stevige percussie, de acrobatische gitaarpartijen, de lekker pompende baspartijen en de sfeerscheppende elektronica zijn van een hoog niveau. Ondanks de vele invloeden hebben ze hier een buitengemeen samenhangend geheel weten te fabriceren waarbij ze zowel op het harde als rustieke vlak mooi weten uit te pakken. Deze band zou zo maar eens een grote kunnen worden. Maar beperkend tot het hier en nu, is deze cd er één die er mag wezen.

Schallgrenzen (GER)

Heute wird ist ein schöner Tag. Der Kaffee heute morgen war prächtig und schmeckt wieder. Blauer Himmel, Sonne satt, gute Luft dort draußen, die Tage werden länger. Das neue Auto ist da, erste Fahrt ins Blaue. Das Trio Moveonout stammt aus Italien, genauer gesagt aus den Abruzzen. Das ist ungefähr in Höhe der Wade (wenn man den italienischen Stiefel im Auge hat). Dort war ich noch nie, und es wird wohl dabei bleiben. Ziemlich sicher ist, das wir dieses Jahr zwei Wochen in der Normandie und eine in Dänemark verbringen werden. Ich schweife ab. Die italienische Band Moveonout hat dem Album “Here” ein empfehlenswertes Stück zeitgenössischer Musik veröffentlicht. Rockmusik. Genauer gesagt, ziemlich fulminaten, zackigen Indie-Rock mit Ecken und Kanten, Ösen und Schlaufen, schöne Wendungen, okayen Songwriting und ein paar schönen, lärmenden Songs. Ich weiß, das hört sich chauvenistisch an, aber Frauen und Rockmusik, das passt eher selten. Frauen gehören in die Küche. Basta. Ausnahmen bestätigen die Regel. Bei Moveonout wird das Mikrofon von einer Frau bedient, und das ist in diesem Fall gut. Jedenfalls ist “Here” ein ziemlich kurzweiliges Hörvergnügen aus Bella Italia. Das Album gibt es digitalen Download via Bandcamp oder direkt über die Band als CD.

Quadriproject (ITA)

E’ proprio di ieri l’uscita del nuovo album dei Moveonout , band abruzzese di Indie. Quattro ragazzi che fanno rock alternativo da sempre. Il gruppo ha le sue radici di nascita nell’estate 2007, ma allora si facevano chiamare RML, i quattro ragazzi disegnano idealmente giorno dopo giorno la loro identità musicale e l’affiatamento tra loro cresce, le idee prendono forma e si traducono in mix acustici, dopo circa un anno la band raggiunge la versione elettrica e registra un ep: è il 2008. L’anno dopo il gruppo si riunisce in una casa di campagna e inizia il nuovo lavoro; uno studio di se stessi con un’immersione totale nella loro musica, prendono corpo cosi circa sedici brani di cui nove sono destinati a diventare il nuovo album. Ritmica imponente e molto curata, la musica si scioglie e si riforma passando da sonorità profonde ad aperture notevoli con chitarre incisive il tutto sostenuto dalla voce lirica della cantante Marianna. Un album che nasce spontaneo senza troppo guardare a una classificazione precisa, ma con attenzione alla struttura dei brani. Questi ragazzi vivono la realtà della provincia ma guardano avanti con una maturità acquisita nel tempo, sempre più vicina a ciò che vogliono essere e dare a chi li ascolta. Ora il cammino è la promozione di questo lavoro fatto con l’anima; il 17 marzo i Moveonout presenteranno il loro “Here” al “Trinocolo” di Montorio al Vomano, poi a seguire il 6 aprile al “Tipografia” di Pescara. Insomma in bocca al lupo e che crepi…anzi che impari a suonare del buon rock come Marianna, Savino, Federico e Giacomo.

Bluesbunny (UK)

The farmers of Italy must be growing fields of post rock bands judging by the numbers that clatter through the Bluesbunny letterbox these days. It must be fertile ground too as if Moveonout are to be taken as a representative example of the crop. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet and Marianna D’Amario’s voice is indeed sweet when it needs to be – as in “Earl Grey” or the truly entrancing “White Muted Pearls” – but she knows when into tear it up and keep herself ahead of those turbulent guitars that drive the heavier songs along. Though tending to be a bit busy sounding during those heavier moments, you have to admire the musical dexterity on show from the rest of the band as they execute their tasks with deadly precision. If Moveonout were American, then it would not be unfair to draw a comparison with the likes of Evanescence. As a band, they have a similar sense of drama and, perhaps, a greater sense of style. And they have Marianna D’Amario, of course.
