.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Nominated by MOJO for Best Folk Album of the year (2007) and a BBC 2 Folk Award nominee for Best Track (Blacksmith) and Horizon Award - Lisa Knapp's debut album 'Wild & Undaunted' was received to unexpectedly tremendous accolade and acclaim.

Inspired for many years by the traditional music of Britain and Ireland, 'Wild & Undaunted' contains mostly traditional songs, however Lisa also begins to rekindle an interest in original writing with a few of her own pieces here, one of which 'There u r' was a collaboration with hugely talented multi-instrumentalist, producer Gerry Diver (who also produced and arranged many of the tracks). Performances at all the major UK festivals with her band which included Gerry Diver, from Green Man to Cambridge Folk Festival main stage in 2008 as well as touring all round the UK subsequently followed.

Lisa participated in BBC Electric Proms 2008 (A Tribute to the late Lal Waterson) where she sang with the legendary Mike Waterson, alongside all Waterson/Carthy family and James Yorkston. Lisa has also played numerous times at London's South Bank with the likes of Folk Supergroup Bellowhead; A Tribute to Sandy Denny at Royal Festival Hall where she sang with fiddle legend Dave Swarbrick; She also had the pleasure of taking part in 'Close of Play' a weekend of traditional and traditional inspired music, curated by long time heroine of Lisa's, Shirley Collins, culminating in a performance in the Royal Festival Hall. Lisa also took part in the Daughters of Albion production where she sang with legendary (and another musical hero of Lisa's) Martin Carthy, alongside Norma Waterson, Kathryn Williams, Lou Rhodes and Bishi.

In May 2009 in association with 'Tune Up' Lisa toured round Scotland with the wonderfully talented James Yorkston and the Atheletes (Sarah Scutt, Reuben Taylor and Doogie Paul), with whom she also played for the duration.

In September 2009 Lisa was asked by Sound UK to take part in an intriguing project called Canal Music. This was in collaboration with Electronics artist Leafcutter John and included a series of perfomances along the Grand Union Canal starting in London and finishing in Birmingham. The material for this was entirely written by both Lisa and John and was performed mostly on canal boat 'Chiswick'. Lisa and John are hoping to record the fruits of this work for release in 2010.

Lisa has just taken part in recording for BBC 4 Christmas Sessions where she collaborated with The Unthanks and Jim Moray, to be aired on Dec 17 2009.
