    UK Jamaican FunkstA- CoLoNeLReD Emerged from a time of racial unrest, born to a Jamaican father and an English mother, Redz has taken an undulating journey, a far cry from his Birmingham birthplace, to the independent artist he is today. Imprisoned at the age of 15 reset the course for young rude boy Redz. Sporting a natty afro, inspired by Rastafarian philosophy and the rich music culture he grew up with, he began to develop his craft. Redz first experience of the industry 'and flying' was being whisked off to the US in business class in the 90's on a major record deal whirlwind and extensive radio tour. CoLoNeLReD broke out at the peak of the UK neo soul scene in 2001, and became one of the UK's top cutting edge recording artists. A complete reinvention as an independent artist building from the ground up! 2005 saw Redz writing and producing his solo debut album 'Blue Eye Blak' followed by the anticipated Sweet Liberation album released in 2009, and last but not least the 'Keep Walkin' album released in 2011. Redz a renowned musaholic working around the clock in his studio, Tribal Rhymes, now creates his very own blend of organic future wave soulfunk. Embracing his debut release the SpaceSleep EP with R&S/Apollo Records,brings the unique and original sound of CoLoNeLReD to the foreground once again after an incredible release of collaborations around the world with a very impressive array of producers on many projects of many genres. Apollo in recognizing CoLoNeLReD's unique worldwide appeal signed the artist with the belief that Redz music needs to be heard by a much broader audience. Redz is currently developing ,together with Apollo, the sound, shape and size of an amazing album to come, due for release June 2013. Redz has worked with and written for, such artists as, Maurice White, Lenny White, Alex Acuna, Amp Fiddler, Keith Sweat, Teddy Pendegrass Anita Baker, Jerry Hey & the Seawind Orchestra, Shara Nelson, Lisa Lisa & the Cult Jam, Sandra St Victor, IG Culture, Bugz in the Attic, Ursual Rucker, Tony Allen, Jon Hassel, Dwight Trible, The Last Poets, Brian Jackson & many more soul legends. Redz has been and will be performing tours & live dates in the USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Greece, Spain, Italy, UK, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Canada, Indonesia. NEW UPCOMING PROJECT: So now the tone is set and the framework in place, CoLoNeLReD embarks upon an astonishing new project entitled Ink Rebellion. Seasoned in production, the atmosphere creates a totally translucent sonic and mind bendingly prophetic sound power and lyrical prowess. What sets this project uniquely aside from all other CoLoNeLReD projects is the absolute focus, drive, and determination that sees him at the helm 24/7, with no breaks, simply living the life as a devoted artist , writing, performing, and producing the music he loves.
