This site is a history of Yon Canny Band Started in 1982. It has always had a fluid line up. The original members are Forbes Robertson Neil Hankin and Marko Galley. There have been lots of musicians in the band over the years(see list below) and there was even a lineup with none of the original members in it. Forbes and Marko still play regularly together. the band toured France and Spain going from busking to concert halls. They were top of the bill at the Barcelona Folk and Bluegrass Festival in 1989. A studio album was recorded in 1985.The band has played for hundreds of weddings, a few wakes,concerts,festivals, dances partys birthday parties in venues ranging from Eastnor Castle to the SS Great Britain and the back of a carnival float to Fortnum and Masons,The music recorded hear is from a number of line ups over the years. Some are studio recordings others are recorded on mini disc at live performaces so the quality is variable
