Wildside returns with a very special one-off clubnight only event!!



SPECIAL ONE NIGHT ONLY CLUB NIGHT!

Wildside goes back to it roots for one month only! As something long-time Wildside fans have asked for and commented on wanting an extended club night we listen to our fans and supporters and thought ... well we've just celebrated our 7th year anniversary and becoming Nottingham's longest running independant rock night - so why not!

Wildside originally started as just a club night in a very small, dark, smokey but cool little place called "Spiders" - DJ and promoter Al started it on his own for a bit of fun but mostly because he was fed up there wasn't a club he could find playing the kind of glam, sleaze and rock'n'roll he and what he believed his friends wanted to hear. Sick and tired of hearing the same old songs (the best you could hope for was Cherry Pie, Living On A Prayer, Youth Gone Wild etc etc every night, shoehorned into a set of the usual classic rock and metal bands like ACDC and Metallica) Al was determined to start a purely GLAM only night and actually play the amazing bands that were never heard in a club (eg Hanoi Rocks, LA Guns, Spread Eagle, Ratt, Shotgun Messiah, etc) alongside different tracks from classic bands and tracks from new bands emerging like Crash Diet, Hardcore Superstar, Loud N Nasty, Dirty Penny etc - if no-ones playing and supporting these bands then the scene would die. To his suprise within a few months the club was packed to the rafters, word spreading far and wide about this little club - people were travelling and booking hotels from all over the country.

Fast forward 7 years later and Wildside is bigger than ever and known all over the world. Since moving to our home for many years Junktion7 (then later Seven) and being able to put on live bands the very best of new and old glam bands alike this has become the core and the heart of Wildside - supporting live music and the glam bands working so hard in such tough climates became very important, very little elsewhere was doing this and others not doing it for the love of the music. Now in our new home of The Central our mission and ethos isn't going to change, next month we'll be playing host to one of the hottest and biggest new glam bands in Dirty Penny on their first trip to the UK - the first place they even considered playing in the UK was Wildside which we're incredibly proud and happy about!

So just for one night only, and to say thank you to all our long time supporters Wildside will be hosting a massive and extended club night across 2 floors with a brilliant and cheap entry price of just £2!!!
