Ashley and Jessica Simpson have teamed up to launch a tween clothing line under the Jessica Simpson Collection label. The collection, which will hit stores in the fall, will include sportswear, denim and activewear fit for the fashion-conscious tween, according to People. The sisters will each act as co-creative director of the line.

Jessica Simpson has been trying to prevent a workout video she filmed six years ago from being released. But now it sounds like the video may be coming out despite a lawsuit involving the tape.

Simpson originally filmed the workout for exercise company Speedfit in 2005, but it’s taken until last May for the legal issues to be resolved. Simpson won an arbitration ruling that prevents the video from being distributed and Speedfit LLC and its owner Alex Astilean were banned from using the singer’s likeness and name to promote the video. Astilean was also ordered to pay Simpson’s business manager, David Levin, $50,000 for defamation.

Well, now it looks like the tables have turned. Astilean has apparently sold the video to someone named Ed Meyer, who plans to edit and then distribute the workout tape. Meyer told RadarOnline.com, “I bought rights to distribute the Jessica Simpson… exercise video from Alex Astilean. My intent is to re-edit it. I believe that the NY Court’s recent judgment in favor of Jessica Simpson is moot and has no teeth, and I believe that I can distribute the new video from California.”
