Anyone who thinks being a famous musician is all fun and games should go talk to Cher Lloyd. The U.K. singer was booed and pelted with bottle of urine this weekend at V Festival in Hylands Park, Chelmsford.

According to NME, Lloyd two bottles of urine were thrown at Lloyd during her set and several crowd members booed the singer’s performance. Lloyd reportedly left the stage in tears. When she returned she told the crowd, “It’s hard enough being up here, but it’s not nice having bottles of piss chucked at you.” Uh, yeah. Have some respect audience members!

Lloyd later tweeted, “Thank you so much for all the nice messages, shame that a couple of people had to ruin it, unfortunately a glass bottle got thrown at me on stage.Tomorrow is another day,big love to my brats!!!” You can see a video of the incident below:

The singer, who is much bigger in the U.K. than she is in the States, rose to fame after appearing on the U.K. version of The X Factor. Lloyd has previously admitted that public opinion has affected her desire to be a pop musician. She said last year, “I know people think I’m a bitch but they don’t realise I put on a massive front. When I go home and close the door I break down, phone my mum and dad and cry. It got to the point when I thought ‘Why am I doing this?’”
