I wasn’t the biggest fan of Quantum of Solace, but with Director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Jarhead) at the helm, I’m pretty excited for Skyfall, the newest (and 23rd!) installment in the James Bond franchise. Daniel Craig’s already proven himself to be a capable 007. For the villain, they’ve brought in Javier Bardem — who if you remember, played one of the creepiest and nastiest movie bad guys of all time in No Country For Old Men. Combined with a (Bond trying to regain his mojo, unearthing M’s possibly shady past), it seems like the 007 franchise will be back on track.

Yahoo! has posted the first full trailer for the film, which opens November 9th, 2012.

Synopsis: Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
