It seems as if every day there’s a new rumor going around about American Idol but this latest one really has our interest piqued: Apparently Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams are in talks with the shows producers to join Mariah Carey at the judges’ table.

“Nick is pretty close to signing to be the ‘Idol’ judge,” an unnamed source told U.S. Weekly. “They flew him in to L.A. last week for final meetings.” This same source also added that Williams was also moving closer to securing a deal with the show, explaining that “Everything is looking good, but they’re still working out details.”

Fox has yet to speak out regarding the rumors of new judges which includes everyone from Brad Paisley to Toby Keith. They also haven’t addressed the fact that Randy Jackson may be moving from judge to mentor, but it’s clear the show has to step up their game now that The Voice has Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong on board and X Factor has enlisted Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.
