You’ve probably seen trailers and commercials for Seth MacFarlane’s Ted, which features the voice of the “Family Guy” star and creator as an adorable CGI teddy bear with foul mouth. But did you know that MacFarlane also provided the basis for the motion capture work of the bear, too? In this new video from FunnyOrDie, we get a look at exactly how the filming went down on set, with MacFarlane in a suit off camera, and co-stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis having to imagine that Ted is there for them to speak to. As MacFarlane says, no one has used this technology for traditional character-based comedy before, so it’s cool to see them improvise and not have to be locked in to pre-rendered animation sequences for Ted.Oh yeah, and there’s also a cameo from a famous singer that I totally did not see coming. Watch the video below!

Synopsis: “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of “Ted.” In the live action/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish… and has refused to leave his side ever since.Post a comment...
