Mastodon will release their new album, The Hunter, on September 27 via Warner Bros. The record, a follow-up to 2009’s Crack the Skye, is a “jump-on-your-bed, get naked, and go streaking kind of record,” according to frontman Brent Hinds. The singer recently told SPIN.com, “I haven’t had this feeling about a Mastodon record since [2004's] Leviathan. It’s just fucking awesome.”

Amy Winehouse’s family and friends said their goodbyes to the singer at a private funeral in London today. The service, which was unannounced to the public, took place at the Edgwarebury Cemetery in north London.
