According to People, Demi Lovato has finished her treatment in rehab and is currently back home in Los Angeles. Although this has not been confirmed by Lovato’s camp, many outlets are reporting that the actress has concluded her stay at an undisclosed treatment center.

A source told the magazine, “She will continue to see doctors in L.A. who will help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment. For now, she is getting back to her regular routine and spending time with her family and close friends. She is so grateful to all of her fans for their support, and looks forward to being able to talk to all of them very soon.”

  • Britney Spears album coming March 15

by Emily Zemler Jan 31, 2011 at 10:54 AM

    .

While it’s impossible to turn on a radio lately without hearing Britney Spears‘ new single “Hold It Against Me,” it’s been unclear when exactly the rest of the pop superstar’s album will be out… until now. A one-sheet on the album (title TDB) from Spears’ label, Jive, leaked over the weekend and the release date for the album is officially March 15. Jive has confirmed to MTV News that the one-sheet is legitimate.

    .

The disc will feature numerous tracks from hit producers Max Martin and Dr. Luke, who are the album’s co-executive producers, as well as tracks from Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Fraser T. Smith and Bloodshy & Avant. According to the one-sheet, the album will be available in both standard and deluxe editions. The deluxe edition will offer extra liner-note pages and three or four bonus tracks.

    .

According to the one-sheet, fans can also expect “a major TV event to launch the album,” worldwide online contests and a “LGBT/lifestyle campaign.” The music video for “Hold It Against Me”is also described on the sheet, although no release date is mentioned. The video will apparently be “a sexy, edgy dance piece directed by Jonas Akerlund and showing Britney at peak form and ability.”

  • Slipknot frontman to join Velvet Revolver?

by Jonah Bayer Jan 31, 2011 at 10:41 AM

    .

Rock supergroup Velvet Revolver, which features former-Guns N’ Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, have been in a holding pattern-of-sorts since frontman Scott Weiland quit in 2008 to resume his duties with Stone Temple Pilots. However, it now seems as if there may finally be another candidate ready to fill his shoes… or, perhaps more appropriately, his snakeskin platform boots.

    .

According to rumors, Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor may be joining the group. The rumor comes after Velvet Revolver announced at the end of 2010 that they had found a singer but wouldn’t say who. When asked by Billboard.com if he was joining the group, Taylor responded by saying, “To be continued!” which is nothing if not extremely encouraging.

  • The Killers end hiatus... for now

by Jonah Bayer Jan 31, 2011 at 10:25 AM

    .

After a year-long hiatus, the Killers are back… for one night, at least. The Las Vegas-based band have announced that they will make their comeback during Lollapalooza’s international debut in Santiago, Chile, on April 2-3. The band, led by frontman Brandon Flowers, announced they would be going on hiatus last January after six years of constant writing and touring. In the past year, Flowers released his solo debut, Flamingo, however this is the first news of the band reuniting.

    .

The Killers (who headlined Lollapalooza 2009) will join Kanye West, The Flaming Lips, Jane’s Addiction and Yeah Yeah Yeahs as the event’s headlining acts. As we’re sure you already know, Lollapalooza started as a touring festival in the ’90s and has evolved into an annual summer festival, hosted by founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman, Perry Farrell, that takes place in Chicago’s Grant Park.
