Hello there. Now that myspace is so "square" i don't really update this page too much. But there may still be things of interest. My radio show "Indie Cops" will be returning to Resonance Fm from March 2nd (every monday 22.00-23.00) and I'm one half of the most exciting double-act of all
this is our website: http://www.tommyandtheweeks.co.uk
I am a stand up and sketch comedian working in the growing alternative comedy scene in London. I'm one half of double-act "Tommy & the Weeks" with Ed Weeks (28) Together we are "gloriously surreal" (the guardian) and had The Scotsman newspaper inventing new superlatives and then binning them in favour of the old ones. I run a night of alt comedy and painting in Stoke Newington, North London every month called Captain Dude & The Dude Patrol, although that's stopped to be honest. To be honest, I have too many myspace pages, and i don't even know how to change this to a comedy one to put up my gigs, but they might be/should be on my website, www.tombell.org. (they aren't)
I have done two full, solo Edinburgh Fringe Shows "the lost tapes of tom bell" in which I interviewed tapes of myself aged 7 (whilst the audience painted me and ate crumpets) became a sleeper hit at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe; a "hot show" pick in The Scotsman and described by The Guardian as "a truly high-quality show... It's meticulous and sweet... contextualised by good jokes and perfect timing". I followed this up with "Tom Bell & the age of Rockstar Death" where I discussed how it feels to be the same age as Kurt Cobain when he shot himself but really was just an excuse for me to realise a dream to perform a song I wrote when I was 16, all done in the round whilst standing on piles of old clothes. I suppose you could call it "Winning and eccentric", the BBC did. Ahem!
Away from all these slightly dull quotes, I am essentially a man made up of bits of other people and things I have read and heard and sensed for myself but often come to understand through my immediate surroundings. I live in London, a city which in 1666 got pretty badly burnt but was lovingly restored, though later got bombed a lot and is now home to over 2,000 people
thanks for stopping by. i'm broke so if anyone wants to offer me money etc, go for it chief! And really, htpp://www.tommyandtheweeks.co.uk is a really good site.

Hey, Tom, I have a question about your Indie Cops. Guess I just ask you here.
Will you (or Terry) upload your episodes in the indiecops. blogspot or put them in podcast like u did about the previous series? Sorry I missed the first episode (and I will probably miss more) due to the different time zone. I love the first two series and really wish to listen to this one.
CHEAP TICKETS for the night are available here : http://www. wegottickets. com/event/37165 (booking fee only 70p!) Don’t miss this show at WEST END's best live venue - SHOTS from just £1 and decent bar prices.
Join us for the glitz, the glamour and the espionage!!!
u ate all my nuts when u were chewing the dewy cud so i was too hungry and weak to make it your stokey comedy night. if i've finished my treehouse i hope 2 be at your next one tho - remind me nearer the time please sir.
hey thanks Tom! not always sure whether one can take a compliment from a comedian at face value (you might be setting yourself up for a joke!) but I do appreciate it. best of luck and hope to see you around.
