ANY CUNT CAN PULL A GUN - OUT NOW ON itunes AND AMAZON!

    • Any Cunt Can Pull a Gun • Girl With a Gretsch • Any 'One' Can Pull a Gun (Radio Ready version) • Girl With a Gretsch (Radio Ready version) Produced by Alex McGowan B vox on 'Gretsch' by Cat courtesy of The Squirrel Skin Slippers Recorded March 5/6th 2011 at Space Eko Studio London Mastered by Alex McGowan at Space Eko Studio iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/any-c-t-can-pull-a-gun/id429747452 Amazon U.K http://www.amazon.co.uk/Any-Cunt-Can-Pull-Explicit/dp/B004UOVMNQ/ref=sr_shvl_album_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304578077&sr=301-1 Amazon U.S.A http://www.amazon.com/Any-Cunt-Can-Pull-Explicit/dp/B004UPC8UQ/ref=sr_shvl_album_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1304578221&sr=301-2 After its brilliant reception when debuted at the Offline Club in Brixton last year 'Any C**t Can Pull a Gun' has become a firm live favourite with 'Zils' aficionados. A sister song to the infamous 'Iraqdonalds' - and its attack on the arms trade – 'Any C**t' saves some venom for the other end of the automated death industry with a raucous rock n roll rant at the 'rappers, cops, gangsters, soldiers and thieves' who supply the demand for wholesale killing. 'Girl With a Gretsch' is a story song of what happens when Jesus and the Devil get into a punch up over a girl during a night off. Inspired by a gig the Silver Brazilians did with the Squirrel Skin Slippers at the legendary 12 Bar Club in London, Squirrels vocalist and Gretsch player Cat joins the 'Zils' here on backing vocals for a right royal rockabilly rave up. Produced and mastered by Alex McGowan whose previous outings include the Urban Voodoo Machine, Pussycat & The Dirty Johnsons and the aforementioned Squirrel Skins. Both songs are also available in 'radio ready' versions for those with an aversion to 'bad language' but not to seeing people shred each other to pieces in a desert, township or housing estate – not near you. "Absolutely heroic, beat poetic lyrics, like a late night jam between Kerouac, Ginsberg, Dr. Feelgood, Ian Dury, and Havana 3am…" (Sugarbuzz Magazine USA) "A surfabilly Clash…" (NME) "A lovely cracking little band" (Andrew Loog Oldham) "Rockin' 50's rhythms with a 60's beat sensibility" (Shindig!) Kate Winslet – this week's coolest song in the world…" (Little Steven Van Zandt) "Shades of Lennon's amphetamine loaded Hamburg period…" (The Boiler Room) "Real solid music for real solid cats."
