The Lighthouse is a new kind of music venue. We have a capacity for 1200 people over two floors with two stages and lots of places to many more. The main stage comes with a 10k PA, a vintage and state of the art back line and professional sound crew. We organise our own events from night time gigs, jam and open mic nights to all dayers and weekenders. If you'd like to come and gig a message to devonmusic@btinternet.com. We will cover expenses and we are able to offer accomodation. We don't like riders much so please dont ask us to pick the green ones out of the Smarties or we'll be handing the bag back to you very quickly. If you're a promoter or you'd like to have a go at organisining some gigs we are open to that so please get in touch. The Lighthouse is run by the Devon Music Collective. We are a not for profit organisation that gets young people learning the skills they need to create the music they want to make. We also have music industry projects like FOG Media (Radio, TV and webzine) a recording and production studio, The Young Promoters Club, music tuition and weekly group sessions like Rock after School and The Urban Kitchen. We have an arts cafe, an internet cafe and play stations galore. If you'd like to get involved then get in touch : we are always looking for good quality tutors, volunteers and young people who want to make some serious noise.

We have now taken over the Lighthouse on Paignton Seafront. What that means for the lovely people of Torbay and beyond is that we have a venue with a capacity of up to 1000, a state of the art rig and a funky vibe that will bring the cream of the home grown music crop to your door. Along side we're putting in a recording and production studio, radio station, rehearsal, workshop and tuition spaces, a band incubation unit, an internet cafe and Caribbean and Creole food, as well as good old fashiioned fry-ups! If you fancy a gig get in touch.
