Bio
From the ragged undergrowth of Birmingham's bustling creative quarter (general Moseley-way) some musical troubadours emerged from the mists of Moseley, Balsall Heath, Cotteridge and even far-flung and exotic places such as Knowle and Walsall. They gathered together under the cloak of numberous guises (Los Crocodilos) and thrashed out their musical passions in an ever-changing kaleidoscope of musical styles - the end product a jewel-encrusted hybrid that makes a mockery of any genre label you might choose to throw at it. The 'evolution' years saw indeed much thrashing, a fair bit of crashing (of cymbals) and the gigs were smashing. And like a musical embodiment of the hokey-cokey, each beat saw members come in, then out, then back in again, until by hook or by crook, the beast was tamed. 8 became 4. Snap-Happy Croc became Sprawling Lounge Lizard and many happy gigs, albums, festivals and music videos ensued. Aaaah the Glory Years... Tragically - and somewhat selfishly - Head Honcho James Conder (bearer of songs and lead vocals) ran away to Vietnam in October 2009,putting The Lazy Lizards 'on sabbatical' until further notice. Needless to say the consequences have been grave - leaving fans suspended indefinitely in the musical stratosphere and causing other band members to subject themselves to less gratifying musical collaborations (shudder) in a feeble attempt to fill the reptilian void. However, rumour has it that the elusive Mr Conder will once again be darkening our shores in 2011... leading to much well-founded speculation that after some serious ass-kicking and Take That-style psycho-analysis, The Lazy Lizards will unite once more in a bittersweet homecoming gig so that all throughout the land the people may revel in the glorious tunes of yesteryear (c.2007-2009) And then who knows what the next chapter will hold... -

£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!

Amit
Hope you can make it to the One Foot Skank'in Paradise ?
