On a day like this the yellow dots have to come out again, and once more the Pioneers album Long Shot fits the bill. Kick that bucket, wel musically at least.

American Graffiti, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Heartworn Highways, Blues Brothers, Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues: A Musical Journey, Walk The Line, Ray, I'm Gonna Get You Sucka the usual assortment of classic gangster flicks and a very liberal dose of sci-fi/fantasy(time for a Lord Of The Rings day again soon i think, that'll be another day wisely spent)lots of westerns(come on now did you expect anything else??) and lots more.Television
Books
Anything by Peter Guralnick, his Elvis and Sam Cooke biogs being definitive and there is no need for any more on those subjects! John Goldrosen's Buddy Holly for similar reasons, now sadly out of print. The Cash autoubiography, humble and brutally honest to the end like the man himself.Just watch the video for "Hurt",nuff said.Heroes

About me:
The Devils Kitchen Radio began Oct 18th 2004 over a few beers the night we discovered the Toad could dance. We've worked hard since then but had fun along the way. Todius is a character steeped in mystery and confusion. His exact origins are unknown but we suspect an amoral disregard for traditional musical genres is at the root of it. And yes it's true that whilst Robert Johnson went to the crossroads to seek inspiration Todius went to the off license (or the liquor store if you're from across the pond). Three cheers for him! Reputedly plentiful of girth but light on teeth, it is from his loins (!!?!) that THE DEVILS KITCHEN RADIO sprang one dark dew sodden morning. The cock didn't get to crow too long that day before its formal introduction to the cauldron! A man of dubious musical integrity he assembled a fine but fierce crew of like-minded miscreants namely Jim Reaper,McC and the king of the knob twiddlers Dr Stew. So remember to tune in to us via Live365 (or via the website ..thedevilskitchenradio.co.uk) for the best morning of live radio on the idiotnet on the 1st Saturday of every month at 10:00 UK time.Theres the usual mix of banter and good tunes and of course, us. Go on you know you want to, even if it does make you feel dirty. Yee Haa, or some such nonsense. The Offenders - Streamline Woman (on Devil's Kitchen Radio)
