Bio:

The cellardoor recording studio is based in Rotherham town centre in Northern England, 10 minutes from Sheffield city centre, 5 minutes from junctions 33 & 34 on the M1 . We specialise in affordable quality recordings, have a look at our website for more examples.

We work on everything from bands recording single track demos to full studio albums. We also record acoustic singer/songwriter, solo artist, rap/hip hop and boy/girl groups. We can record your vocal over your own beat/backing track, we can provide you with pre made beats/backing tracks both original and covers or we can produce a track/beat to your exact requirements Along with all the expected industry standard digital recording equipment, pre amps and microphones we can provide you with classic guitar/bass amps and speaker cabinets, 2 drums kits, various acoustic/electric/bass guitars, snare drums, cymbals and FX pedals. As well as varied selection of VSTi software synths, effects, vocoders and pitch correction software (auto-tune)

We have Valve amps from, Mesa Boogie, Marshall, Fender, Orange....
We have Solid State amps from Marshall, Fender, Carlsbro, Peavey, Trace Elliot
We have Cabs from Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Orange as well as a range of custom made smaller speakers cabs designed specifical for recording
We have various instruments from Fender, Gibson, Gretch, Yamaha, Pork Pie Tokia, Zildjian, Epiphone, Sabian, Ibanez, Highwood, Paiste.
We have so much stuff that we don't have enough space is our cosy little studio to store it all so if you want to use anything in particular let us know when you book your session(s).

Remember to factor in mixing time
Bands - At least 60 to 90 minutes per song
Acoustic Acts - 20 to 40 minutes per song
Pop vocal - 20 to 40 minutes per song (could be longer is there are multiple vocalists, lots of FX's)
Rap Vocal - 15 to 30 minutes per song


Hourly rates

£12 per hour - Mondays to Thursdays 9am - 5pm
£15 per hour - Monday to Thursday 5pm onwards
Our hour rates only apply Mondays to Thursdays, we do not book in by the hour on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays


Live Recording

Roughly 30mins set up time, 90mins to record with an hour to mix, or 2 hours to record with 30mins to mix
