SWiSS..

Swiss, at only 23 years of age this Battersea born music kid is a veteran of the UK's street music scene. With experience far beyond his young years Swiss has been able to sample the highs and lows of the music industry and is back hard at work to recapture and exceed the past glories he achieved with his former band 'So Solid'. He's well on his way to doing this.

Growing in up in a strong church going family his love of music developed early on, he even formed a pre pubescent band called '2 Hype 2 Young' at the age of 9 with his brother So Solid's Megaman as well as producer Mr.Shabz, hit vocalist Kaish and Atlantic recording artist Sef. Although the group gained little success unless you count perfoming at under 18's events all over London the fuse was well and truly lit Swiss was sure his destiny lay in music.

After years of plugging away Swiss got his first big break DJ'ing on famed South London garage pirate radio station Delight FM. In fact Swiss was the first ever DJ to spin on the station, at that time he wasn't in So Solid but So Solid had started the station so through his work on Delight he earned himself a place in the infamous crew. In his words "I got inspired being around the So Solid mc's so I started writing more and making beats in the studio."

His time in the studio paid off and he quickly scored a top ten hit with the aforementioned Mr.Shabz - a man who he would later go on to form the Music Kidz production team - in the shape of 'Broken Silence', top ten hit (7). The track gave us our first chance to see the more reflective concious elements that make up Swiss' character. He would later put these traits to greater effect on his smash hit underground single 'Cry'.

Swiss is an artist who proves conclusively if your music is good enough you will get heard. The streets love Swiss. Without so much as a video out on channel U he managed to sell every single copy of his album 'Pain 'n' Musiq' getting the lead single 'Cry' playlisted on every urban radio station in the land and many commercial ones in the process. Only now does Cry have a video and it is impressively in rotation nearly two years on.

Far from being just a studio rapper Swiss is also an accomplished performer who is often hand picked to warm for many US atists when they visit these shores. In the last year Swiss has opened up for the legendary KRS One, D - Blocks Jadakiss, G unit's The Infamous Mobb Deep and Mr Right Thurrr Chingy. Even on a couple of occasions stealing the show.

As comfortable behind the scenes as he is in the limelight Swiss is a formidable and called for producer who has worked with Jay Z's Rocafella artists from Memphis Bleek, Beanie Segal to the UK's own Asher D. Him and the rest of the Music Kidz production team of Mr.Shabz, and former Reelist member K1 are setting standards across the board with their music.

With his majority Music Kidz produced street album Pain 'n' Musiq doing the rounds alongside his mixtape release 'The Real Mixtape' and the promise of much more to come, Swiss is not only a name to watch he's definitely one too keep watching for a long time yet.
