Bio
Hi I'm Paul Roberts here's a brief history of the band. Sniff'n'The Tears first existed in 1973. A chap called John Curd spotted us playing in The Pheasantry in the Kings Rd. He wanted a band to manage and soon had us playing London's pub and club circuit with residencies in the Tally Ho in Camden and the aforementioned Pheasantry. Then the guitarist went off to do his military service in Iran and at around the same time I had my heart broken. I took a two year sabbatical in Paris signing to a French company. One single was put out and some demos were made and that was that. The demos did lead to my meeting Luigi Salvoni and the formation of the next Sniff, we signed to Chiswick in 1978 and Fickle Heart came out, Driver's Seat getting us off the blocks very nicely. Since those early days there have been another three albums for Chiswick The Game's Up 1980 Love/Action 1981 and Ride Blue Divide 1982. (all of these Chiswick albums are now available from iTunes) Then followed a couple of solo albums for Sonet Records, City Without Walls 1985 and Kettle Drum Blues 1987. For those of you interested, the compilation of those two records 'Slowdown' which was released in 1992 is now available from IODA sites including Amazon and eMusic as well as iTunes, please check Sniff website for details. With this in mind I'll put up some tracks on this site for your perusal. Next following a European tour came 'No Damage Done' once more under the 'Sniff' banner. I put out Underground myself in 2000 distributed by Ace Records Distribution. Underground and the four Chiswick albums are all available for purchase on the Sniff'n'The Tears website as well as Amazon etc. The new album "Downstream" is now out and available via Amazon and other discerning retailers. -

I stopped by your web site, and was happy to see that the new album seems to be coming along. I'll be looking forward to it!
Earlier I had asked about live shows. One of the fans on the facebook page for Sniff'n' the Tears came across this one:

I haven't become a "vault member" yet, though, so I don't know how good it sounds.
