    Sleepless Mate was founded as a solo-project in 2007 by James"Troublemaker" Mateman. There were international experiments on different stages with different musicians, wich got Sleepless Mate as far as Manchester or Los Angeles, for instance. Right now the band lives and performs mainly in and around Vienna. The singer and guitar player is supported by Chris Schwaiger on the bass guitar and viennas exceptional percussionist Atreju „Tritri" Fiedler. The songs are honest, straight, authentic and cover a wide range of sensitive ballads, critical statements and progressive acoustic rock. The sound reminds of a time, where Rock&Roll still had some innocence left and anger wasn't the only emotion you could transform into it's music. It's not that much about Sex&Drugs, but life itself. Every song comes straight from the heart, every word has it's place for a reason... Not to waste my time with musical comparisons, it should be said that the phrase:"...reminds me a little of Sleepless Mate" is going to be heard quite often in the future.

    Martin Klein (A) Wandlungsfähige Stimme und eigenständiges Pianospiel.  Der in Wien lebende Innsbrucker  kreiert  brillante Songs mit Gänsehautgarantie.  Er tritt mit seinem Trio auf.  

    Feed Me Stars  (A) Beinahe kindliche Sinnlichkeit und dann doch wieder Mut, dem Leben mit offenen Augen zu begegnen.  Pop wird hier kammermusikalisch beleuchtet. Sympathisch, naiv.
