slam was formed by Katie Lloyd in 2001, As a sucessful solo artist , she was asked by her agent to put together a backing band to fill certain dates. and to promote some original songs she had. the band shortly evolved into a very popular band around the local pub scene. now a full time perminant line up, playing the local circuit of venues as a classic rock covers band, and recieve a warm welcome and following at every gig. the bands current line up includes Katie Lloyd on lead vocals. with Jason and Adam Tilbury on guitars, former members of Rat-Pack year 2000 winers of the south east of England battle of the bands, they were signed to Tom Watkins management, who also had Bros and East 17 on his books at the time. they toured throughout 1999/2000 with Steps ,five, attomic kitten and billie piper and released a cd of original tracks .
on bass guitar is Den Wootton a familure face around hastings, who has racked up many hours as a drummer with soul express, and is just as accumplished on bass,
and on drums is Jon Ewing, a pro session player who has played with just about every top outfit in town,

Our aim to support local live music and the only way our website can do this is to have as many band/artists signed up and populating the website with their gigs as we can, so that gig goers regularly come and search for gigs. If you can spare 5 mins to help with our aim and get listed that would be brilliant.
