OK music goes very much hand in hand with our racing...... we dig; 60'S GARAGE, ROCK 'N' ROLL, PUNK-ROCK, TUFF R'N'B, BLUES, 50'S SLEAZY INSTRUMENTALS.......you know, anything with real spirit... Keep an eye out for a forthcoming Skooter Farm CD "WE'RE PRETTY QUICK" featuring 25 or so anthems that salute the world of motorcycling......songs that'll git dirt in yer eye!!

essential dirt track viewing:ON ANY SUNDAY, THE THRILL IS ON, EVEL KNIEVEL LAST OF THE GLADIATORS(Evel rides an xr 750 and sponsored his own dirt track team), LITTLE FAUSS AND BIG HALSY we also like 60's biker movies; HELL'S ANGELS '69, THE GLORY-STOMPERS, BORN LOSERS, WILD ANGELS C.C AND COMPANY(worth it for the scene where they race hardtail choppers round an athletics track!)

only 2 books to recommend about dirt track; RIDE IT complete book of flat track racing by Gerald Foster Long out of print.......but occasionally shows up on Ebay.......though it does go for big $$$$$$$ GRAND NATIONAL by Joe Scalzo(great pictures) other books; Anything by Billy Childish Punk Rock by John Robb Built to grind by Hi Speed Productions Devils Advocate the art of Coop

"DRESS FOR THE RIDE........... NOT THE CRASH!" Welcome to SKOOTER FARM DIRT TRACK RACING.......Just a place you can visit from time to time.....to see what's occurring......with the UK dirt track racing scene in general and focusing on what our team are doing in particular! Just to get ya up to speed.......Here's the story so far....... 2005 saw the formation of SHORT TRACK UK....The UK's first ever motorcycle dirt track racing association...the brain-child of the mighty Pete Boast. Dirt track racing has been around in the USA for almost 100 years. The premise is simple.....a race against other riders.....held on a large, dirt oval shaped track.......turning always to the left......for anything up to 25 laps!! Oh yeah I forgot to mention.......no brakes!! Anyhow I have been a huge fan of this kinda racing since I was about 10 years old (thanks to seeing ON ANY SUNDAY and coverage of stateside races in motorcycle news in the early 70's) When I heard that this form of racing was coming to the UK....I just had to be involved.........even though I got ZERO racing experience!! Me and my long-time good buddy, JOHN LEE already owned dirt track style bikes.So we signed up and ended up competing in the majority of the series. 2006 sees the launch of the SKOOTER FARM TEAM. This is a grass-roots, D.I.Y., punk-ass operation.SKOOTER FARM is steeped in the legacy of retro american racing......we tip our hats to: MERT LAWILL,JAY SPRINGSTEEN,GENE ROMERO,CAL RAYBORN,DAVE ALDANA,KENNY ROBERTS to name just a few! We don't ride modern bikes(probably an easier and possibly cheaper option) We ride real dirt track bikes with a look that harks back to the 70's/80's. With SKOOTER FARM its definetly ....Attitude over ability!! (as our race results show...hee hee !!! ..
