German extremists Six Reasons to Kill formed in 1999, and their six-song demo soon drew the attention of Alveran Records, which released their debut album, Kiss the Demon, in 2001.
Boasting a vicious death metal sound verging on grindcore, the album was supported by inexorable touring alongside acts as diverse as Testament, Agnostic Front, and Napalm Death. Two split EPs, 2002's Morphology of Fear with countrymen Absidia and 2003's Split with hardcore act Deadlock, followed -- after which bandmembers Christian Valk (vocals), Marco Schaller (guitar), Marco Andree (guitar), Matthias Machenheimer (bass), and Florian Dürr (drums) began working on a second full album. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
