Hey were u as surprised as I was ystrdy about last nite's Dr Who? They really did keep that storyline a secret!

An explosive last couple of days 4 telly in my opinion - first that row over a naff painting and a spitting incident in BB, and now the Doctor is regenerating into ... well, no-odne immediately springs 2 mind but I hope we don't get another Colin Baker!

Hi yeah I saw that - cracking episode, still won't miss Dr Who 4 the world.

My younger bruv is now discovering Dr Who for himself - I had to explain certain bits about that particular episode such as the BAD WOLF legend & he's currently borrowing my Jon Pertwee DVDs (cos I advised him to start on those ones then go thru the Tom Baker ones).

PS It must b said that I prefer Donna Noble to Rose Tyler & Martha Jones!

Whilst on my summer break from uni, I'm enjoying much reading, cycling & hunting out old ruins within Fife. This summer, I've found myself intrigued by local history and as a consequence, can regularly be found investigating in Fife complete with walking boots, a history journal & my ever-faithful camera. In October, I hope to return to St. Andrews University to further continue a degree in Zoology. Having been somewhat mystified by the lack of 'person-centredness' of psychology, I'm now on the exciting trail of evolution & natural history c/o St. Andrew University's Biology Department. When studying, I'm never more at home than in the Bell Pettigrew Musuem. When I'm both doing and not doing these things, I dream of the day I live in a little red-roofed log cabin in the keep of the Scottish Highlands, with a brook gently whispering by, frosted leaves outside that look like glass & a classic car's engine ticking over & warming up as I search for my treasured driving gloves & latest classic map for a hurl along winding Scottish Highland roads. The mountains draw me near and I cannot, will not refuse them.

Have been working my way through some oldies over the summer hols including Rain Man & Born Free. Herbie 'Fully Loaded' is another recent watch.

  • Books

A book which brought tears to my eyes when it was recieved as a birthday present was 'Waterlog' by Roger Deakin - originally borrowed from the library, it took me about 9 months and several 100's of bus-travelled miles to get through it. A wonderful diary kept by a curious and observant swimmer as he travels Britain and swims in our lost lakes, pools and along the UK coastline.
  • Heroes

Barry Gibb - for being such a complete gentleman when I went over to chat to him one rainy day on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh. Barry was polite enough to stop for a chat in the pouring Scottish rain. Add to that a kiss and a hug, and I walked away with a face that said it all.
