On Friday the 22nd of August, MySpace squeezed 250 people into a tiny
warehouse space in London to see legendary dance-rock icons Soulwax. The
large queue snaked around the venue as fans waited with their profiles in
hand.
As soon as the doors opened, fans were handed a limited edition Soulwax
T-shirt specifically designed for this one off gig, that acted as their ticket into the show. The first room of Electrowerkz screened the soon to be
released "Part of The Weekend Never Dies" a documentary about the bands
constant touring, massive following and mythical live shows.
The movie got everyone in high spirits to see the band. Fans were ushered
into another dark and dirty room, where Riton warmed up the crowd with his
bassy electro. Soulwax came out to a raucous audience, who scaled the
walls.
The Dewaele brothers and their band ripped through Soulwax finest tunes with
fans hanging from the ceiling to get involved during set high NY Excuse
while some of the sweaty crowd got a lot closer to the band than expected
during a stage invasion as the band dropped crowd favourite Krack.
Soulwax played an incredible live set however our night didn’t stop there.
The Belgian siblings decided to come back out as their equally famous and
celebrated DJ duo 2 Many DJs. The party continued to the sounds of the best
2 many DJs remixes until the early hours.
Thanks to all who attended.
