  • Glass Rifle

Glass Rifle are performing live at Party XPO tomorrow (Feb 19). 929 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY. Come down... there's gonna be a water gun ice rink, a nerf gun shooting range and first person shooter video game projections! Plus other great acts...

The band are supporting their debut single:

"Impossible to ignore." - Consequence Of Sound"

Glass Rifle are a sonic battering of dischordant power pop, with killer guitar licks offsetting fierce beats that literally pummel you into submission" - Lost At E Minor"

It's tight, incredibly crafted and stands alongside any classic American underground sound…" - 7Inches

About me:

Rip This Joint is a not-for-profit alternative DIY night held on the 3rd Saturday of every month at The Constitution in Camden, London. We’ve been knocking around in various guises since 2007 and are now an integral part of old London town's vibrant underground scene.

We’re not promoters, we’re not blood-sucking capitalists and we’re not the saviours of live music. What we are is a bunch of pretty good bands trying to keep the DIY spirit alive. All the money we take on the night goes directly to the awesome bands we get down to play for us. We don’t make a penny.

Do you want to play Rip This Joint? Read the below first and then get it touch

- If you’re a London band then we ask that you come down and support the night before asking for a show. Speak to a few of the peeps around on the night, get a feel for the whole thing and then drop us a line. We’ll get you on, just show some love first.

- Check out some of the bands we’ve put on, we’re not snobbish about music but there’s plenty of nights out there and you may find something that fits your band better than us. We like putting on anything alternative from punk, hardcore, garage rock, experimental mayhem, grunge, metal etc. In fact as long as it’s not the sort of soulless, corporate indie rock rubbish that has slowly become part of the mainstream in recent years, then we'd be happy to give it a go

- Once we’ve found you a spot make sure you come down for the whole night. There’s nothing worse than a band who doesn’t support everyone else who’s playing. This isn’t your average promoted night, it’s a family and we want you to be part of it. Not a sulky teenager who just wants to sit on his own in the dark. Oh, and by the way, if you don’t watch the other bands don’t expect to get paid. We’ll spread the wealth to the other bands who make the effort.

- Lastly, don’t contact us on myspace – there’s too much spam from rubbish funk-bands so we don’t check it too often. Drop us a line at rip_this_joint@hotmail.co.uk or find our facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5068078916 (and message any of the admins on there – they’ll be happy to help)
