electronic Bagpipe. The redpipe is an electronic bagpipe with various sounds and fingerings. The redpipe family is modeled on original bagpipes from Scotland, France, Germany, Sweden and Spain. The redpipe is an electronic bagpipe based on the concept to provide a full instrument and not just a practice chanter. The redpipes are modelled on traditional bagpipes. That is why musicians can easily switch from a traditional bagpipe to a redpipe. All the redpipe models are based on the same electronic technology. High-sensitive sensors identify the position of the fingers on the chanter, transfer this information to two microprocessors, which translate the fingering into music without any delay. The software can be updated to integrate new features and sounds. This will be done by redpipes electronic bagpipes for free until we announce something else. For esthetic reasons some of the redpipe models have bourdons/drones implemented. The French model has a second thumb hole. The little finger hole is turnable in both directions to allow playing with the fingertips and support lefthanded musicians as well. For all redpipe models the various fingering tables can be combined with the available sounds. In studio recordings a switch between just scale and well tempered scale is possible. The redpipe is in a broad range transposable. The switch from a G to a sharp G allows to choose between myxolydic and ionic tunes. redpipes without a blowpipe redpipe classic, redpipe french and redpipe pipa. These redpipe models are stuffed with filling material. The bourdons/drones, the chanter and the overblowing function are pneumatically controlled by pressing the bag. The amount of pressure, which is necessary to get the instrument going is adjustable to individual needs. So, the instrument can be played without applying a lot of pressure to the bag. redpipes with a blowpipe redpipe avalon, redpipe caledonia, redpipe metal and redpipe gaita. The bag has to be filled with air over the blowpipe, just as with traditional bagpipes. The air disappears through a built-in valve, which leads to a rather realistic rhythm of playing. The blowing effort, which is necessary to play the instrument is customizable. So, it is up to the player to decide, which level of comfort he’d like to have. New freedom for bagpipe players: chose your key, choose your sound. Blow if you want, don't blow if you mind! The first stage-suitable electronic bagpipe provides new ways of playing together. The redpipe is an electronic bagpipe with various sounds and fingerings. Depending on the redpipe model fingering and sounds can be adjusted to a •Great Highland Bagpipe •French Bechonnet and a german Shepherd Pipe with an adjustable second thumb hole •Huemmelchen and Dudey with a Renaissance recorder fingering •Medieval Bagpipe in minor The sound can be adjusted to a Great Highland Bagpipe, a Smallpipe/Huemmelchen, or to a Medieval Bagpipe/French Bechonnet/german Shepherd Pipe. By pressing a few buttons fingerings and sound can be combined. The redpipe is a bagpipe without tuning problems, which can be transposed within a wide range. The tuning can be adjusted in halftone steps Drones can be set up as octave drones, quint drones, or quart drones with a finetuning option. The piper controls the functionality of the redpipe classic and french by applying pressure on the bag in the way he controls a traditional bagpipe. Regarding the redpipe models caledonia and avalon the bag has to be blown up over a blowpipe. The power, which is necessary to blow the pipe can be adjusted to personal needs. This makes the playing a lot more comfortable. The drones look great, but have no other function as being estethic. The high-sensitive sensors implemented in the chanter generate the sound without any delay. Overall, the features of avalon and caledonia allow a relaxed playing, which comes very close to the rhythm and feeling of playing a traditional bagpipe. The redpipe avalon and caledonia are great for performances on stage. The built-in metronome accepts a broad range of tempi. Due to the fact that the redpipe can be switched from just scale to an equally tempered scale the interplay with a lot of other instruments is an option. Drones and the chanter are initiated by pressing the bag. The drones come up first. Overblowing is possible. Scottish fingering with a ..Sharp G' and a lower halftone (Gaita scale) is an option. So, myxolidic and ionic tunes are playable. For playing the redpipe you need a standard stereo earphone. Otherwise you have to connect the instrument to an amplifier. The usage of a wireless connector is recommendable. (Edit)
