strange situation" and "how the story goes" the strange situations single is now on sale from ITUNES, OXFAM music, TUNETRIBE etc (and should be available on all mobile phone providers soon) i would love so much, to write some piece of literary genius, describing how i feel, how the music makes me feel and how exciting it is to finally have a deal in place, that lets my music join the billions of other songs out there in the land of itunes and hmv sadly i can't. Anyway now to the songs and all the help i've had along the way from great musicians/people. first of all there is emma who does all the backing vocals on both tracks :) and sings with me at most of my gigs. i try to get her to do all the singing at some gigs because i just love the way she sings. then sophie who plays my favorite instrument the cello. Sophie got about 5 mins practice with the song how the story goes but seems to instinctively know what mood and sound i want from a song. then there is the lovers andy and james both from the band the streetlight conspiracy they are best friends and one is rarely seen without the other so we call them the lovers behind their backs (don't tell them) andy turned up at the studio with sophie and got roped into playing some bass for me at the same time with a big smile he said, "sure" plugged his bass in and 10 mins later was finished its just too easy for some people. finally there was james edwyn who plays every instrument known to man he would get a tune out of a wasp in a jam jar. on this particular day he was playing some lead guitar for me. we were meant to be recording the song "emotion" and he had written a fantastic guitar piece to go at the back of the song to create some ambience and atmosphere in the song, but i changed my mind in the studio at the last minute and decided to record "how the story goes" which i'm not sure the others had heard before but its easy for these guys anyway i am rambling so big THANKS to emma, sophie, james and andy i know i am murder to work with changing things at the last minute but thats part of me charm:) back to the songs, if you like them buy them if you don't don't:)
