Odyssice

Bio:

Odyssice is an instrumental symfo prog band from the Netherlands. Odyssice (a fantasy name associated with Greek mythology) was founded in 1986 by Bastiaan Peeters (guitar). After enthusiastic reactions when 'Track One' was played on the dutch radio-show Countdown Café they released an EP in 1989.

In 1997 they released their debut cd 'Moondrive'. This album was very well received by international press, and orders came from all over the world.
In 2000 ‘Impression’ was released. Also this album was worldwide greatly appreciated! Due to personal problems at the end of 2001, everything around the band became very quiet.

After recruiting a new bassplayer the band slowly started in 2005 with writing new material and moving to a new location for their rehearsal room. In 2006 the band staged live in the Amsterdam TV-studio RTV-NoordHolland.

The year 2007 and 2008 were mainly used for creating more new songs and for Bastiaan to realise his long-time dream; a private digital home-recording studio.

In 2010 they released their new album 'Silence' on may 23rd. Also this album has already got a lot of enthusiastic reactions, and reviewers judge this album as 'the most mature and best album Odyssice has made'.

The album release will be followed by the release of the Live-DVD ‘Secret Showcase’ recorded by RTV Noord-Holland, and will include bonus material.
