No Mean City

Bio:

No Mean City are a female fronted alternative four piece from Derry, Northern Ireland. Combining raw riffs, syncopated rhythms and authentic vocal hooks guaranteed to catch your ear, whilst focusing on pure energy and performace live. Formed in Oct 09 and already making an impact, the quartet plan to shake up everything in their path. Featured in Hot Press Magazine earlier this year as 'Hot tip for 2010', receiving airplay on notable radio shows such as BBC radio 1 Introducing and Electric Mainline and gigging rigorously across the country; NMC have quickly become a force to be reckoned with. Most recently making it through to the final 8 of Redbull Bedroom Jam 2010; played a live stream gig from their bedroom direct to the world, played some of the biggest festivals in europe such as Download, Sonisphere and T in the Park

While they may only be babies in the NI music scene (they formed a handful of months ago) the Derry natives' live shows have already got tongues wagging from those in the know, fronted by former model Jilly, the quartet's ability to craft a sugary hook over a satisfyingly chunky riff have marked them out to be a very exciting prospect over the next 12 months - Hot Press Magazine
