how about books? why isn't there a 'favorite books' section for bands/musicians? isn't that kind of sad?
well, i'm the only member of my band, so maybe i'll use this section to write about some books that i like. but then i'll sound even more pretentious than i usually do.
so, what to do? how about some random books i like....john cheever's journals. walker percy's 'the moviegoer'. wittgenstein's 'tractatus'. frank herbert's 'dune'. anything by flannery o'connor. dostoevsky's 'the idiot'. anything by f. paul wilson. rudyard kipling's 'the jungle books'. 'the once and future king'. danny gregory 'everyday matters'. david james duncan's 'the brothers k'. anything fun by neil gaiman, especially 'stardust'. legs mcneil 'please kill me'. lawrence wright 'saints and sinners'. bill bryson's 'mother tongue'. bertolt brecht's 'mother courage and her children.'
ok, i'll stop there for now.

i had a long and factual and fairly tedious bio up here but it was, well, long and fairly tedious. so now i have this. although at present i don't know what 'this' is, as i haven't actually written 'this'. in writing a bio i'm trying to find that nice balance of self-involvement, pithy self-deprecation, and brevity. which leads me to think that i should just stop here. but i've never been one to err on the side of brevity, so i'll just keep writing.
i was born in nyc on september 11, 1965, and now it's 2009 and i still live in nyc. which(living in the same city in which i was born) would be provincial and depressing if nyc didn't happen to be the least provincial and depressing city on the planet. and i'm sort of stuck living in nyc because:
a-i don't have a drivers license(we all benefit from this, trust me, i'm a terrible driver).
b-most of my friends live here.
c-nyc is nice.
what else about me...i make records and occasionally go on tour and play concerts. i'm currently signed to mute records, which makes me proud because mute is a great label and i get to call nick cave and goldfrapp and diamanda galas my label-mates.
now really is the time when i'm going to force myself to err on the side of relative brevity (my other bio was about 30,000 words). thanks for reading.
-moby.
oh, and my next record is called 'wait for me'. it's slow and mournful and melodic. and david lynch made the first video, 'shot in the back of the head'. i'm a lucky musician.
Hello friends, here is the link for the new release on Sensual Touch Recordings from Javier Orlando and Raul Carrasco. This time we have a nice House track which brings the summer back and two tracks more bouncing the dancefloor. TITEL: Plastic Happyness

I'm getting married tomorrow Moby. :) One of the songs on the dj play list for the reception is your song Heaven. It works well with all of the instrumentals my fiance' and I chose. Thank you.
If *you* weren't so far away Lil Brayden and I would bring *you* and your band some delicious home cooked food. I'm making a delicious menu tonight. I tweeted *you* at my Moby Dedication Twitter page about it. Smiles.
A cute coincidence with how *you* posted a tweet and journal about precious Bella, is that my coworker and friend Kelly sews and designed doggie tutu's, dresses and harnesses. She actually gave me her card today (she and her husband are struggling to make ends meet so she does such for extra income aside from her job at the showroom) and asked me to let people I know, know about her website so she can make and sell her fashions and so I will be doing such in a bulletin tonight, but it made me smile that *you* and I seem to always been in such similar wave lengths. Smiles. Oh and the adorable thing is Kelly is going to design a bunny tutu for my Annie Fannie Bunny. She has never done one for a bunnyh, so Annie Fannie will be her first bunny model, giggles. Awwww my Annie Fannie in a tutu. I've always called her my 'Slipper Toes Bunny', thus tis so perfect and naturally I will have to post lots of photos of my Annie Fannie wearing a tutu. I'm such a proud Mummy. Smiles.
Lil Brayden and I send *you* lots of love, hugs & kisses, sighs...... xxxx oooo @>-->--
P.S. I noticed with my ADD that I was silly and mis-spelled also on your twitpic of Bella...I wrote 'Belly' instead of Bella and 'he' instead of 'she' in one of my posts. I apologize for that my love. Hugs better to Bella.
