2010 - 2011.. HAPPY NEW YEAR
Its the end of one of the best years ever.. we started recording the 5 tracks for Sleepless, then off to Austin Texas, to play SXSW Festival, where we played 4 showcases, first met our friends Riverboat Gamblers, we played at The British Music Embassy there and also Old Shoe Records party, then we went to Los Angeles.. played at McWorld and came straight back and that day played London for the Cock Sparrer pre show gig for Strummerville Charity, which was awesome and Street Dogs attended.. The year got better and better, then off to Warped Tour in Summer, playing on Kevin Says staged managed by Texas Stu.. and hanging with The Exposed, got back for Rebellion, always a messy weekend.. specially if Cal's there!! We played some great gigs with bands like Cancer Bats towards the end of the year, and then things got crazy.. we lost Jonny but now have Chris, we gained Alan Parker and Phil Ellis for UK management, Chad Romiti and Patrick Gillespie and the Restless team for the USA. There was chances for a trip to China, we were meant to go to Germany but health reasons and hospital visits stopped this, but we'll be there in 2011.. There's a lot happened in 2010, and a lot going on and planned for 2011.. including the release of our first proper album, and plans in place to visit Germany again and more.. It's our first start of a year with Chris, and there'll be lots of announcements and cool things going on at the start of the year.. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.. let's look forward to 2011 and enjoy 2010.. -
WHY WE WILL NOT BE AT STRUMMERCAMP - apologies to those who were coming
Current mood:
Today we were due to be playing @ Strummercamp Festival in Manchester.
irateFirst of all, we want to apologise to the people who are going along to the festival to watch us, as we would love to be there and playing, but sadly, we were pulled from the bill last night due to suspicious circumstances. The promotional materials, flyers and facebook stated that we were due to be on mid afternoon, however after a week of bad communication, and being told that we should go on late morning - having already sorted out our work commitments so that we could be there the due time from the promotional materials, and the lack of enthusiasm and willingness to co-operate on what was shown on the materials that have been publicizing the event, and not sticking to an original plan, have meant that we were told that it would be "impossible for us to play at Strummercamp - as there's just not the time"Having the gig cancelled the day before, when our name has been used on the flyers which have been promoting the event, we find, is very suspicious and quite an insult, as there will be people we have to apologise to for making the trouble of coming along to the festival due to this. Not only this, we have been dedicated to the Strummerville Charity - even flying back from LA and playing a gig in London for the charity while suffering jetlag and fatigue. So to pull us from this event, because the information got changed the day before.. Is something we find unfair.if you have any questions - feel free to comment or message us and we will get back to you -
