Please sponsor the MERU Mountain Mayhem Team
MERU have been given a free entry for a team of 10 to take part in the annual 24 hour endurance mountain biking race known as Mountain Mayhem! The event takes place over two days with riders taking it in turns to ride a 10 mile off-road course, starting at 2pm on Saturday 21st June and finishing at 2pm on Sunday 22nd June. The relay continues through the night, and each team member has to complete two laps of the course for the team to qualify in the results!
Please help us carry on with our life changing work by sponsoring the team by going to http://www. mycharitypage. com/MERUMayhem - EarthHugger4 years ago

About me:
MERU’s dedicated team of staff and volunteers designs, engineers and manufactures equipment when children’s parents, carers and therapists simply can’t find a product to meet their needs. It’s a common problem, particularly when children have multiple or complex disabilities. WE DON@T UPDATE THIS PAGE VERY OFTEN. PLEASE JOIN OUR FACEBOOK GROUP "MERU" IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE REGULAR UPDATES Imagine you can't walk, talk or move, without carers operating equipment for you. MERU might design you a switch you can operate with your swallowing muscles. Operating the switch means you can use a communication device to speak, control your wheelchair to move, and use your PC - all without being dependent on carers.MERU - life-changing designs for youngsters with disabilities from MERU on Vimeo.
We make a large range of tailor-made products, including specialist wheelchair controllers, computer mice, supportive seating, eating, drinking, hygiene and bathing equipment, as well as learning and leisure toys.Who I'd like to meet:
Our skilled engineers are continually working at full stretch and we have a dedicated team of volunteers, including retired engineers and students who help us with our work, yet there are always many more children who need our support than we can afford to help each year. So we'd like to meet engineers and designers who could volunteer their time to help make equipment in our workshop in South London. We'd also like to meet volunteers who can help with fundraising, admin and at comunity events. And most importantly we would like to hear from young people with disabilities who can not find the equipment you need (or from your parents, carers and the team of medical people who work with you).Details
