I have just finished a career as a touring and recording artist in Little Man Tate which became defunct in July 2009 so I am looking to broaden my musical horizons with other opportunities within the industry. I also play bass and provide backing vocals along with co-writing 2 albums with Little Man Tate (culminating in 5 UK Top 40 hits and 70,000 global net sales). The last 4 years have seen me tour the UK and the rest of the world with LMT, gaining experience of live work and meeting crucial recording deadlines whilst working with a variety of musicians and producers, including Elliot James (Kaiser Chiefs), Jim Lowe (Stereophonics) and Cenzo Townshend (Graham Coxon). It's been a rewarding experience to have worked as a guitarist and songwriter in a signed band for such a time but now I am aiming to offer my skills and knowledge to other musical projects and build up my resume as a seasoned session musician. I am easy going and friendly and understand the importance of studio time and feel I have the pedigree and background to offer my services at a competitive rate. I also have a keen understanding of music theory which has helped me to develop as a player over the years and have just recently become a member of the Musicians Union as well as the PRS. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any further questions. ...... ..Myspace Editor.... ..Pimp MySpace.. .... ......

http://www.mazmarriott.com/images/misc%20935(1).jpg 50's rock and roll/rockabilly/doo-wop, Motown/Stax/Northern Soul etc, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, Van Morrison, Arlo Guthrie. Neil Young, CSN&Y, 60's US West Coast pop. Stuff from the Nuggets albums and psychedelic era - Strawberry Alarm Clock, Chocolate Watch Band etc, Jimi Hendrix, Paul Butterfield, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Rory Gallagher. ACDC, Bowie, Kinks, Beatles, Stones, Small Faces - all mod generation stuff. T-Rex, Mott The Hoople. The Jam, Clash, Sex Pistols, Generation X, Buzzcocks. Bluebeat, Jazz funk, Dub, reggae. 80's new wave - Costello, The Cars etc and post punk - Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Echo and the Bunnymen, Wire, Magazine. The Smiths, Stone Roses, ACR, Happy Mondays, New Order. Acid house, hip-hop - Jurassic 5, The Roots. Massive Attack, Oasis, Blur. The Strokes, Libs, Grandaddy, The Softlites, Graham Coxon, Slash, MGMT and all the current NYC stuff, Simian Mobile Disco and i'd probably say a lot more than this. Obviously there's quite a broad mixture here but on the whole I tend to use blues and rock phrasing in my playing whilst fusing other bits and bobs into the mix like all that 90's shoegazing stuff, a bit of funk or whatever takes my fancy. I really like atmospheric sounds with loads of reverb and delay which i've incorporated into my playing over the years.
