“Maga-Zeen”, was raised in Kingston, Jamaica, where he developed a strong passion for reggae music and pop culture. He sharpened his talents as a vocalist and song- writer in school through talent shows, dance and music classes. His parents were not supportive of his passion for music and told him he had to go to college, but he followed his musical hopes and dreams regardless, knowing one day he would be a reggae-pop artist. He honed his love for music and quickly implemented his skills recording as the artist formerly known as, “Reagan”. Reagan scored a hit single with “Jeans & Timberlands” which aired on radio stations, ZIP-FM, FAME-FM and IRIE-FM, released in 2000. He was an instant area star and was loved over night, but there always comes a hindrance on the path to success. In 2003, Jamaica was more about politics and money, the focus was not on music and “Reagan” needed the hype in order to evolve his career. So he left for the United States in 2005. Maga-Zeen’s first real break came in 2009 in Miami, Florida. Maga-Zeen was detailing a vehicle at his part-time job when he happened to be approached by hip-hop star, Rick Ross. Ross over heard Maga-Zeen singing to a track and asked if he could sing a verse. After Maga-Zeen performed live on the job, Rick Ross was so enthralled by Maga-Zeen’s performance that he signed him on the spot at the car wash. Maga-Zeen currently resides in Miami, Florida and frequently travels to Atlanta, GA to work in the studios with other artists, such as Bobby Valentino and Rick Ross. Managed by, “Maybach Music Group,” (founded by Rick Ross) Maga-Zeen is currently working on his up an coming debut album, “Jamaica-Gates”, release date TBA. Maga-Zeen is releasing two mix-tapes “Red-X” and “JAMIATL” which will be released Fall 2010. Remixed tracks that can be heard on the mix-tapes are Chris Brown’s, “Deuces” and Rick Ross’, “Maybach Music 2”. Maga-Zeen’s charismatic personality with a twist of Jamaican flavor will have audiences in anticipation for his arrival on the U.S. charts.
