I studied grade 8 piano at the age of 17.
Trained vocally with operatic coach at the age of 22.
I have been playing in bands, duos and solo as singer, pianist and guitarist for last 12 years.

Writing and performing original songs on piano and guitar for last 8 years. Formed a band, (WITCHWOOD), to perform mainly original work for the Burnham and Real Music Festival (Maldon) 2005. I am now carrying on using just my stage name Lyz Le Fay. You will find me at open mics, these including St Annes Castle Great Leighs, The Windmill East Hanningfield, and various others. I started an album last year recording original material.

It's going to be a long time before the album is finished as there have been a few set backs in my life recently, but I am now back and fighting. I am a practicing white witch and have been for the last 32 years, hence my love for Kate Bush. My spiritual thoughts and feelings can be heard in my songs. It's a pity I don't listen to them more really, as the sub-concious is a remarkable teacher. I want my songs to be heard like a work of art would be seen. Sensing the brush strokes and colour within the music, creating the picture in your mind... ........
