She is influenced by, amongst others, Eva Cassidy, Portishead and Joan Baez. But we think she has a style all her own." .. (Review from: www.embercombe.co.uk) I'm a singer/songwriter/composer, "rooted in traditional English folk" but versatile in how I express this. Recently I travelled to Cuba to collaborate with Cuban musicians and a theatre group called Guerilla de Teatreros. I'm passionate about using music to create positive change in the world and in people's lives, and I have performed and made musical contributions to various sustainable development, interfaith and diplomatic events, including the Schumacher Foundation, World Wide Fund for Nature, St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace and a performance at the House of Lords for Baha'i New Year. As well as my solo work, I'm part 3 bands: .. Cloak & Dagger: www.myspace.com/cloakndaggermusic .. The Road to Xanadu: www.myspace.com/theroadtoxanadu The Bird & the Butterfly www.myspace.com/thebirdthebutterfly ..
