About me:

Kaplan is a trained actor, who has appeared in many major Television and Theatre productions, including "Oliver", "Blitz", and "Bye Bye Birdie", as well as playing the coveted role of "Puck" at Covent Garden in Benjamin Britten's opera "A midsummer nights Dream". Whilst appearing at Covent Garden Kaplan wrote and recorded "Do you believe in magic", his first single that got into the lower end of the pop music charts, it was at this time he decided to enter the music business. Eight years with Dick James Music becoming "In House" sound engineer and then A&R manager, during this time he worked with many established acts including Elton John and Joe Cocker. After leaving DJM, Kaplan concentrated on record production, music publishing, writing and management, and now runs Kal management (www.kaplan-kaye.co.uk). Kaplan is also a member of the show business charity "The Grand Order of Water Rats" and is very proud & honoured to have become elected King Rat for 2006/2007/2008.
