The ....j..phunk..quintet.... are a funk/jazz fusion outfit performing tracks from fusion's origins in the 70's right through to the present day whilst giving a firm nod to the acid jazz movement of the 90's. The band's experienced rhythm section of Sam Firth and Gary Montgomery replicate classic grooves with a rare found authenticity providing a firm basis for some of Scotland's best emerging talent, in the shape of Andy Chisholm, Davie Cowan And Tony Courtney, to express their improvisational credentials in an often awe-inspiring style. With original material also now part of their set this is a band to look out for. ..
