Josh Winiberg is a 20 year old composer and pianist from Essex, England. Starting to teach himself piano at 15, Josh was a fairly late starter. However, he found his natural affinity with music in the piano and by 16 had released his first solo piano album, Sunrise (2004).
Having sold hundreds of copies and receiving acclaim from composers internationally, including the renowned contemporary composer Ludovico Einaudi, Josh was invited to perform at the Ravello Festival in Italy. Prolific as ever, Josh was already part way through writing his second album, Silent Embrace, which he released in 2005.
Since then Josh has worked on numerous projects, including composing for short films, dance and for the cartoon PC Game, Mr Smoozles Goes Nutso (Juniper Games) - an independent release from the writer of Broken Sword, Steve Ince - demonstrating the diversity of his compositional ability.
Now it is time for Josh to return to the piano for his third solo release, Those Nights, which shows more than ever his ability to seamlessly fuse styles as contrasted as classical and drum 'n' bass and give them his unique emotive and sensitive touch. The variety of genres from which Josh draws inspiration for this album is enormous, but all held together by his minimalist roots. From the trancy title track to the jazzy Stars in a Dark Blue Sky to the impressionist Gathering Clouds; this album really does have something for everybody.

Hey Josh, nothing, just wanna tell you the news that a strong earthquake happened in Sichuan Province in China on May 11st and half of the Asia felt it. We were having classes then... the earthquake was 7.8 level, and we felt a earthquake of Level 5.9... over 60 people died in my province and over 11000 people died in all. Still, because of the bad weather and condition, there are many people covered by the fallen down buildings so there may be much more people dead. And over 1900 aftershocks came one by one. Last night I even felt my bed shaking...Luckily people around me are alright then, but a tall building next to our school now is slantwise so we go home very early today...
(you don't need to reply cuz I just want to tell you this incredible thing)
Wow ! Thx for the comment ! For the program, I work with Logic Pro and I have Miroslav Philharmonik for the orchestra sounds. Keep up doing beautiful things and I hope the best for your future projects.
Hey,Josh. I am so sorry that you didn't see my wish for you at the proper time, hope you felt it and that's all I want. And hope you are all good there. Cathy x
ciao, your music is so interesting...what do you think about my music? I would really like to know what you think about it. I would like to meet you eventually...bacio
I just wanted to drop a line and ask if you were still interested in doing any strings work. I finally have gotten settled down since the move and such, I'll be getting back on a myspace music page soon. I had to get rid of it because the symphony tour and traveling had been too much to manage a music page in addition to it.
Hey Josh! I read the comments people gave to you these days, it seems that your show worked out really fine! Congratulations again! It's so great that more and more people begin to know and fall in love with your def music!
I searched your name on YouTube but still couldn't find the video of your show...you seem to be still very busy.
Many people like your music but it seems that they didn't pay attention to the link to the fansite, so please allow me to show it to others again:
