"There is an inner beauty about a woman who believes in herself, who knows she is capable of anything that she puts her mind to. There is a beauty in the strength and determination of a woman who follows her own path, who isn't thrown off by obstacles along the way. There is a beauty about a woman whose confidence comes from experiences; who knows she can fall, pick herself up, and move on"
Thanks Janay!^^

I Am A Christian
By Maya Angelou When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!
Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears-it is a remedy, a tonic, orange juice for the ear. But for many neurological patients, music is even more-it can provide access, even when no medication can, to movement, to speech, to life. For them, music is not a luxury but a necessity.

MY FAVORITE QUOTE:
"To each there comes a time in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to their own talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour." -Sir Winston Churchill <3

I just wanted to tell you that you did an amazing job at the sound academy tonight.
I have always been a fan of yours, and known you are an amazing and beautiful person, but i didn't know how big of a fan i was.
Tonight was the first time I heard the song 'God loves ugly' because i am always getting songs on itunes that i already know (i'm gonna have to go back to cds). but I have to tell you, the way you sang it tonight touched my heart in a way nothing has before. It was so beautiful I couldn't even cheer for you because I was trying so hard not to cry. (I was front and center, so i hope you didn't think i wasn't cheering because i didn't like it). The song in itself is beautiful, but the way you connected with the song, and with the audience really touched me.
I can't even tell you how you have affected me today. Self acceptance is something i have struggled with for a long time, when i got home i listened to the song like 6 times and just cried. infact, i'm still crying a little. You have helped me over something which has held me back from so many things, and inspired me to go after the things i really want, and to believe that I deserve them. Hearing you sing that song tonight really changed something in me. Knowing that a beautiful and amazing woman like you could have struggles with those feelings inside really helps me to see that maybe i am not as bad as i am always telling myself i am. It was very helpful to hear from someone who posses so much beauty, that i too am beautiful.
So I really want to thank you for fighting for what you believe in and what you know is right. The world really needs more people like you. I will be watching out for the next Canadian show, because i will definitely be there! (sorry for such a long comment)
