Alternative Women's Institute is by no means the leading female comedy brand providing a platform for female comedy working with both new and used acts. Founded in 2006 by knitting and egg specialists, the company organises the prestigious Alternative Women's Institute Awards to give to their friends and stages up to 50 shows per year but so far only one, including the forthcoming Alternative Women's Institute tea and biscuits gala which takes place on 23rd January, International Beret and Boilersuit Day.
