Bio
20 year old saxophonist, Joe Wright, is in his third year on the Royal Academy of Music. He has been a member of Tommy Smith's Youth Jazz Orchestra for a few years now, where he gained his first experiences of playing to live audiences. More recently he has been playing across the country in various small bands including his trio who have performed in the 2008 and 2009 Glasgow Jazz Festival. During the ‘08 festival he won the BBC Radio Scotland Young Jazz Musician of the Year Award. Since then has gone on to do radio broadcasts featuring his own music for BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio 3 as well as a concert in the ’09 Glasgow Jazz Festival paying his suite written to feature Julian Arguelles and himself. ............ .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... ......tsyjo.com..
