My new CD, Middle England, will be available soon. The songs are mainly associated with Birmingham and the West Midlands - I lived in Birmingham for several years, and my father grew up in Sutton Coldfield (his father was from Birmingham and his mother from Staffordshire). I have uploaded 3 tracks from it on my profile - 'I know which way to go', which features mandolin and is about finding a new direction, 'Say goodbye to love', a 30's style song, and 'To the end', a tribute to Nick Drake, who was from Tanworth in Arden in Warwickshire. Forthcoming CD - Flying High

excitedRecording for the new CD started just over a month ago, the finishing touches are now being done. In the meantime I have uploaded two of the tracks, 'Later with Jools' and 'Oh sweetheart'. The first track, as you can guess, is about the popular music programme and my dreams of performing on the show. The second track is for a friend and work colleague and her husband who has MS - it's about the love they share for each other despite the difficulties the illness places on them both. It features my husband Steve on additional vocals.
