Bio
Jaquie is based in Southampton and regularly attends the local folk clubs with her husband Steve. She performs mainly her own songs, and plays guitar, mandolin and 'cello. She loves music of all kinds but her own compositions are inflenced by folk and the gentler side of pop music. "I discovered folk clubs in the mid-90s when I was living in Birmingham, but only attended the one at the Red Lion in Hockley once before moving back to Hampshire. I found out about the Catisfield Village Folk Club in Fareham through going to the Fareham & Gosport Folk Festival in 1999, then when I moved to Southampton later that year I started attending the St Denys Folk & Blues Club (now Folk at the Riverside), which was just a short walk from where I was living. I haven't looked back since! Being part of the folk scene has helped me find an audience for my music." -

I'm now in a band called Mojo, with my husband Steve and three other guys. Steve is the lead vocalist and plays guitar, I sing backing vocals and play 'cello, mandolin and percussion. We mainly do blues/r'n'b covers and some of Steve's songs. The gigs listed on this page are for Mojo.
