Bio
Intro: Although Jamie Archer aka Jamie AFRO has been writing and playing music for many years, it wasn't until his famous first audition on the UK version of The X Factor (Singing the Kings Of Leon's 'Sex on Fire' ) that everyone took notice and suddenly knew who Jamie 'AFRO' Archer was. Current Location: London, UK. Whats going on? Jamie is currently in London, writing and recording his new album with his band. Biography: When Jamie Archer aka Jamie AFRO strolled onto the X Factor audition stage he quite literally blew the judges and the audience away with his performance of Kings Of Leon 'Sex On Fire'. For the first time ever, even Simon Cowell couldn't resist singing along and Dermot O' Leary said jokingly afterwards "you were only supposed to do an audition not a stadium concert". From over 200,000 auditionees, Jamie easily progressed onto bootcamp, the judges houses and finally onto the live shows. He has been credited as being one of the first 'REAL' musicians to enter the show and set the trend for others to follow. Jamie performed some notable classics on the show including 'Hurt' (Christina Aguilera' and 'The Show Must Go On' (Queen). He suffered a shock exit in week six which was largely accepted as down to poor song choices. Jamie along with the remaining final seven went on to do The X Factor Live Tour in 2010 playing in total to over 500,000 people around the UK and Ireland. The most successful X Factor tour to date and biggest tour of that year. He has gained a large and loyal fan base and is now known as the man with the most famous 'Afro' in the UK and beyond. When interviewed about the tour he said" I've always dreamt about performing to thousands each night and here I am with the other contestants playing venues such as Wembley Arena and The 02 in London" "Crazy"! Born in London, Jamie lived in Putney for many years. He is no stranger to making music and performing live and over time became a local celebrity due to his famous hairstyle and electric and charismatic performances at the Putney 'Slug and Lettuce' bar and other venues around London. He is 100% a musician, singer, guitarist, songwriter and performer. In his own words "I come from a musical family and music is my absolute passion, always has been since I was small. My brother (Stephen) and I have always played and written together and are rocks for each other in our chosen path. Many people already know that Jamie has a band with Stephen and in between the hectic schedule of 2010 found time to move to Worcestershire to begin writing and recording for his debut album. Release date expected soon. -

Just passed Nick Clegg's house. Looks like he's got 100 uninvited guests outside. A Jubilee street protest. Looks more like a party to me!

"Insanity" is an original tune that you can feel the love and care that's gone into it's production. Jamie - your vocals portray the “desperation inflection effect” that properly express the lyrical meaning/message of "Insanity", Stevo - good solid rhythm and beat that will have everybody's toes tapping, Anthony you're sound is equally as solid - no questions over depth of sound.
The song has so many greats, tempo, energy and lyrics, which I am sure we can all relate to on different levels. Overall, from this sample - you have nailed it! Well done all, no easy job being independent musicians. - jennie11 months ago
